International Admissions Counselor: What a cool title to have! Most people have no idea what it means. So I shall explain.

First though, lets back up. So the last time I wrote, I was finishing up my semester in Granada, Spain.
Since then I have:
- gone back to Lynchburg for the rest of junior and senior year
- Won the International Relations Initiative Award at LC
- Got into Omicron Delta Kappa honor society
- had some crazy parties with friends
- lived off campus at Moorman Drive
- rescued a cat (and brought it to the Humane Society)
- been a bridesmaid in my sister's wedding
- completed an internship in the International Admissions office at LC
- sang (once again) in the Lynchburg College Concert Choir
- survived a semester from hell.
- drank probably a million cups of coffee
- cuddled with my best friend
- ...and her cat
- fell in love... with Bojangles haha
- wrote a thesis titled "Fair Trade-Cooperative Partnerships in Bolivia: Fair Globalization or Perpetuated Dependence?"... it was 24 pages long....
- made new friends
- lost some old ones
- GRADUATED COLLEGE
- Yes, that happened
- I graduated.
- What?!?!?
- Moved home.
- Interviewed for a big person job
- Turned 22
- Got the job
- Started said job.
Andddddd. here we are. Woo!
I feel like I have won an award. First I'd like to thank my mommy and daddy for keeping it real with me, and supporting me no matter what. Thanks to Tory for being the real MVP. You rock.
So anyway, this job is great! I work at Mohawk Valley Community College in the Admissions Department. I receive and review applications, from all around the world. I email and call students, counselors, and agents. I have the pleasure of admitting students and signing their acceptance letters! I search for successful or up-and-coming ways to recruit and communicate with students. And probably most awesome, I get to actually travel and meet potential students and their counselors or agents. How cool is that?
This April I will go to Colombia, Panama and Honduras for recruiting. I am so excited to see these new places, and to hopefully find success for MVCC. I will let you all know how it goes!
These past few months have been a whirlwind, but I am so happy to be where I landed. Utica is developing and really flourishing, so it's exciting to be living here again.
Well, I shall keep you all in the loop as my adventures continue!
Hasta Luego.
Taylor :)
